The introduction of Innovo’s Electric Drive Lay Spread (EDLS) system in the Middle East is a milestone in the SURF world.

For the first time, this powerful and reliable system will be located in the Middle East for single or multiple installation of flexible flowlines, risers, umbilicals, mooring wires and power cables.

Featuring Innovo’s Innodrive 700 electric reel drive system – designed to carry 700 tons of product on a 14m OD reel and with a proven track record of 15 months’ umbilical laying and spooling activity with minimal downtime – the EDLS offers safe, fast and economical installation.

Innovo and its partner in the Middle East, Unique Group, believe that the introduction of this technology will lead to performance improvements as well as considerable reductions in operating costs by saving time during mobilisation and operation.

Customers enjoyed a special demonstration of the system at an Open House being hosted by Unique Group at their head office in Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah, UAE on 21 st and 22 nd March 2018.
