Dutch offshore contractor for suction pile anchors and foundations SPT Offshore is engaged in a project to perform research and consulting works on the wind turbine suction foundation design for two offshore wind projects in China.
The two unnamed wind farms are located approximately 10 to 30 miles from shore, in water depths of between 15 and 30 metres.
SPT Offshore is requested to prepare a conceptual design for each of the projects applying SPT’s Suction Pile Jacket foundations.
The soil consists of soft clays and is well suited for Suction Pile Jacket foundations, SPT Offshore said.
