Lundin Norway has contracted Island Offshore’s LNG-powered platform supply vessels (PSV) for its operations on the Norwegian continental shelf.

The two vessels, Island Crusader and Island Contender have already worked for Lundin Norway under a contract signed 2013 that had a 2.5-year term.

Island Offshore was a pioneer of LNG as a fuel for platform supply vessels (PSV) when ordering the two vessels, delivered in 2012.

In moderate weather conditions, the vessels are DP2 compliant with two gas engines supplying all the power required.

Island Offshore kept the details of the new contract undisclosed.
