Ardmore Craig Bags New Cable Lay Deal

Ardmore Craig has secured a contract for the design of a shallow water cable lay and beach pull in spread.

The customized deck spread includes two chutes, a subsea quadrant with support frame, tensioner grillages and auxiliary equipment.

The work scope also includes the sea fastening design for the full system, the company informed.

The equipment will be used on a future interconnector project.

Ardmore Craig director Andy Stevenson said: “This latest contract is the second cable spread award this quarter and marks the ninth cable lay spread the business has undertaken .”

The company did not disclose the name of the client nor the value of the contract.
