The MPI Workboats activities will be transferred to Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) with effect from 1 May 2018, with the MPI Workboats’ personnel transitioning to VOS, Vroon said.

As part of this transition process, prefixes for all workboats will change from MPI to VOS, e.g. MPI Napoleon will become VOS Napoleon.

These changes will be implemented from 1 May 2018 onwards. Additionally, all future correspondence will come from Vroon Offshore Services instead of MPI Workboats, Vroon said.

”This development will provide all concerned with an exciting opportunity to enhance our workboat business and improve further the service offerings to our valued clients. Aligning the workboat activities with Vroon Offshore Services Ltd gives us the opportunity to identify and implement efficiencies within the workboat business. And by utilising VOS Ltd’s management, resources and experience, we enhance our business objectives of making customers successful and building long-term, mutually rewarding relationships,” Vroon said.

MPI Workboats currently operates a fleet of 14 wind farm support vessels.

Vroon, which has recently agreed the terms of financial restructuring with its lenders, operates a fleet of 200 vessels, 200 vessels, including four wind turbine installation vessels operated by MPI Offshore.
