Russian gas behemoth Gazprom said on Wednesday it would form a joint coordination committee with Saudi Aramco.

The move is a part of an agreement signed by Gazprom’s chief executive, Alexei Miller, with Saudi Arabia Energy Minister Khalid Abdulaziz Al-Falih and Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Bin Hassan Nasser, according to a Gazprom statement.

The deal is an addendum to the memorandum of understanding between the two companies signed in October 2017.

“The addendum is aimed at widening the possible areas of cooperation between the companies,” Gazprom said.
