White Fleet Drilling’s WFD 350 jack-up rig has returned to the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, following repair and upgrade work by Semco Maritime.

Engineering and contracting company Semco Maritime on Wednesday launched a video of the operation executed in Sabine Pass, Texas over a three-month period.

The work on the WFD 350 entailed repairs and upgrades for the five-year special periodic survey (SPS). The main scope of the work was the replacement of over 100 tonnes of steel modifications and upgrades.

As for the rig itself, the WFD 350 is owned by White Fleet Drilling and managed by Enterprise Offshore Drilling.

The Marathon Letourneau 116-C design jack-up can operate in a maximum water depth of 350 feet with a maximum drilling depth of 25,000 feet. It was built in 1982 by Davie Shipyard and is currently working for Energy XXI.

According to information provided by VesselsValue in January , Energy XXI hired the WFD 350 jack-up rig on a six-month term deal. The start date was set for February 25 while August 25 was scheduled as the end date. Data from the website suggests that the rig is working on a $55,000 dayrate.

It is also worth reminding that the WFD 350 rig was formerly known as the Hercules 350 while it was owned by now-defunct Hercules Offshore who sold the rig as part of a 13-rig package an auction in early 2017 to Enterprise Offshore Drilling.
