USA: Weekly offshore rig count unchanged

The weekly number of active offshore rigs in the U.S. remained flat this past week.

The weekly number of active offshore rigs in the U.S. remained flat this past week, at 18 units, according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes, a GE company.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +8 to 1,021 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 8 rigs from last week to 1,021, with oil rigs up 5 to 825, gas rigs up 3 to 195, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 1.

U.S. Rig Count is up 151 rigs from last year’s count of 870, with oil rigs up 128, gas rigs up 24, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 18 and up 1 rig from last year’s count of 17.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -8 to 85 rigs

Canada Rig Count is down 8 rigs from last week to 85, with oil rigs down 5 to 33 and gas rigs down 3 to 52.

Canada Rig Count is unchanged from last year’s count of 85, with oil rigs up 9 and gas rigs down 9.
