Ørsted and the shipping companies Cassen-Tours and Adler-Schiffe are organising offshore wind tours in the German North Sea this month.

The catamaran MS Adler Cat will set off from the Nordeney Island to the Gode Wind 1 and 2 offshore wind farm on 12 and 26 May.

The guests from the mainland will be transported by the feeder ferry AG North-Frisia from Norddeich.

If the offer is well received by the public, the tours could become a constant feature on the summer schedule, Ørsted said.

The 582MW Gode Wind is located some 45 kilometres off the coast of Lower Saxony. In operation since 2017, the 97-turbine wind farm is one of the largest in Germany.
