Solstad Farstad subsidiary Farstad Marine has sold one of its platform supply vessels to an undisclosed buyer.
In a stock exchange filing on Wednesday afternoon, Solstad Farstad said that the vessel sold was the PSV Far Supporter built in 1996.
The company said the vessel was delivered to the new owner on Wednesday. It did not reveal the name of the owner nor the price of the vessel.
The sale of the vessel will result in an immaterial accounting effect for 2Q 2018, Solstad Farstad said.
VesselsValue, a website providing evaluations of values of vessels, has the Far Supporter estimated at $1.06 million in demolition value. The vessels AIS data show it as currently located in Vung Tau, Vietnam.
Furthermore, online data shows the vessel as being renamed to Sea Meadow 12, which might mean the vessel has been sold to the Vietnamese company Hai Duong Co. However, Offshore Energy Today has not been able to independently verify this information.
