Dutch shipbuilder Royal Bodewes has launched MV Arklow Villa, an open hatch singledecker ordered by Irish Arklow Shipping.
The launching ceremony was held in Hoogezand on May 18.
The 5,100 dwt newbuild belongs to a series of ten ships that will be delivered to Arklow Shipping. It is expected to be handed over to the company in August 2018.
With a gross tonnage of 2,999 tons, the vessel features a length of 86.9 meters and a width of 15 meters.
In addition, Arklow Villa has a market value of USD 6.5 million, according to data provided by VesselsValue.
The launching of Arklow Villa comes a month after its sister ship, Arklow Viking, was delivered to its owner.
