Partrac, a Scottish-based marine survey and coastal consultancy group, has been commissioned to assist Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (FURG) in a large scale dredge and spoil disposal monitoring campaign.

Under the contract, Partrac is to employ their proprietary dual signature particle tracking technology to improve understanding of the spatiotemporal distribution of dredge spoil, disposed offshore of Cassino Beach; an important local tourist attraction.

During a recent site visit, Partrac staff including Dr Jack Poleykett and Dr Matt Wright presented an overview of Partrac’s capabilities, their technologies and recent project experience to students and staff from FURG, project partners and local stakeholders.

“ This project comes at an exciting time for Partrac as we expand our operations into North America ,” the company said in their announcement.
