Rawwater, the UK-based specialists in contract research and consultancy services for facilities design, oilfield souring and well abandonment, has employed Mike Mooney as business development manager.

Before joining Rawwater, Mooney was employed as a business development/sales manager with oilfield chemicals specialists Reda Oilfield.

Prior to that, he provided specialist consultancy services globally. His earlier roles include: UK sales manager for World Fuel Services, Africa business development manager for NALCO Champion, and working as an account manager with responsibility for chemical applications and laboratory analysis at Baker Petrolite.

“I am delighted to welcome Mike Mooney to Rawwater,” comments Rawwater Group managing director, Dr Bob Eden . “This is an exciting time for our business, particularly with regard to our expertise in the creation of Dynamic TVS – Thermal Viability Shell – predictive reservoir souring models, and our development of bismuth alloys for sealing well abandonments onshore, offshore and subsea. With Mike’s considerable industry knowledge and wealth of contacts, he is ideally equipped to assist in our growth plans going forward.”

In addition to the arrival of Mike Mooney, Rawwater said that its research department has also been strengthened through the recruitment of several new specialists, including bioreactor technicians and a biocorrosion technologist.
