Russian giant Gazprom signed a deal with its compatriot Severgroup to cooperate in adopting and localizing LNG plant construction technologies within Russia.
The document is aimed at the implementation of Gazprom’s promising projects for natural gas processing and liquefaction and field development on the continental shelf, as well as at the efficiency enhancement in long-distance gas transmission.
Gazprom said in a statement that, in addition to the localization of LNG plant construction technologies, the two companies will work on creating equipment for LNG plants, as well as in designing domestic innovative materials for offshore field pre-development.
The cooperation will also extend to the creation of Russian materials and technologies helping reduce capital investments in the construction of linear gas pipelines and compressor stations and increase the energy efficiency of their operation.
