The first day of this year’s edition of Posidonia trade show in Athens is off to a good start, despite some technical hiccups, including power outages in Hall 3.

Exhibitors from around the world have brought their A game as they work to appease to the Greek shipping companies, owners of the world’s largest fleet.

The Greek market is of particular interest for shipyards and equipment suppliers who have invested considerably in their stands in order to stand out from the crowd.

The first deals have already been signed on the exhibition floor, with ABB finalizing its deal with a shipyard from Cyprus.

The turnout of visitors at Posidonia 2018 during the first day was great.

Inaugurated on June 4, Posidonia 2018 will last until June 8.
