Cenergy Holdings’ subsidiary, Corinth Pipeworks, has signed an agreement with TechnipFMC for the manufacture and supply of the steel pipes for Energean’s Karish gas field development in the South Eastern Mediterranean.

The agreement covers 90km, of 24” and 30” LSAW pipe material for the offshore gas pipeline which connects the subsea manifold at a maximum water depth of 1,750 meters to the receiving terminal onshore.

Pipe manufacturing and coating will start at Corinth Pipeworks facility, in Greece, later in 2018, Cenergy Holdings informed.

The Karish main development envisages drilling three wells using a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit, that will be located approximately 90 km offshore with a production capacity of 400 mmscf/day.

Earlier this year Energean signed the contract with TechnipFMC for the construction of the FPSO for the project.

Energean made FID for the Karish and Tanin development project in March 2018, after having signed 12 gas sales and purchase agreements for 4,2 BCM in total annually and secured financing for the project.

Energean Israel owns 100 per cent of the Karish and Tanin fields, which combined have 2.7 TCF of natural gas and 41 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe) of light hydrocarbon liquids, totaling 531 mmboe of 2C resources.
