GATE Energy has been selected by Shell as the provider for facility commissioning of the Vito development.
The associated scope includes commissioning planning, onshore commissioning execution and offshore commissioning / ready-for-startup services.

The Vito development is owned by Shell Offshore Inc. (63.11%, operator) and Statoil USA E&P Inc. (36.89%); the field is located beneath more than 4,000 ft of water, approximately 150-miles southeast of New Orleans and is currently scheduled to begin production in 2021.
Shell announced the final investment decision for Vito in April this year. In addition to GATE, contracts for Vito deepwater development have been awarded to companies such as Subsea 7 and Jumbo .
