ETIP Ocean has organized a webinar dedicated to the importance of knowledge sharing and collaboration for the development of marine energy sector.

Knowledge sharing and collaboration helps avoid duplication and drives innovation in a more efficient manner than working in isolation.

For ocean energy, this is true for collaboration within the sector itself, but also for collaboration with other industries, particularly those working offshore

However, these processes can be challenging to stimulate, according to the ETIP Ocean – short for The European Technology and Innovation Platform for Ocean Energy.

Representing a technology developer, a marine test site and free-to-use marine monitoring service – the speakers at the webinar will present their views on the advantages and challenges of knowledge sharing, and how it can be best facilitated.

The speakers include Petter Sund , VP Business Development and Sales at Finnish wave energy company AW-Energy; Matthew Finn , Senior Business Development Manager at the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC); and Laurence Crosnier , Market Development Manager at Mercator Ocean/Copernicus.

The webinar is scheduled for June 29, 2018, and requires registration .
