Spectrum Geo has started acquisition of an offshore multi-client 2D seismic survey in the Eastern Turkish Black Sea.

The first phase of this campaign comprises 7,000 km of 2D data and is focused on an area identified to have significant hydrocarbon potential.

The project is carried out in partnership with BGP, utilizing a long offset configuration optimized for broadband data processing, the company said.

Acquisition is expected to take three months to complete with final processed products available in Q1 2019.

Spectrum did not reveal which vessel will conduct the work, nor the name of the client.
