Oslo-based Awilco LNG, the owner of two 156,000-cbm LNG carriers, said Thursday it won a charter deal for its liquefied natural gas carrier WilForce with an unidentified oil and gas major.
The tri-fuel diesel electric (TFDE) LNG carrier has been committed on a 9-12 month time charter, according to a statement by Awilco LNG.
The contract is expected to start in September 2018, subsequent to scheduled dry-docking of the WilForce.
Awilco LNG added that the contract is expected to contribute to the company an annualised EBITDA of about $26 million during the charter period.
