Chevron tags Downer for Gorgon, Wheatstone maintenance

Downer EDI has been awarded a five-year contract by Chevron Australia for the provision of maintenance and support services on Gorgon and Wheatstone facilities in Western Australia.

Downer EDI has been awarded a five-year contract by Chevron Australia for the provision of maintenance and support services on Gorgon and Wheatstone facilities in Western Australia.

Downer’s scope of works spans the maintenance of non-process infrastructure assets at the Chevron-operated Gorgon and Wheatstone facilities and includes support services provided by Spotless.

Downer, a provider of integrated services in Australia and New Zealand, owns 88 percent of Spotless Group.

Chevron, the US-based energy company and the operator of the giant Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG projects in Australia. Both facilities are producing and exporting liquefied natural gas and are progressing towards full capacity of 15.6 mtpa and 8.9 mtpa from Gorgon and Wheatstone, respectively.
