GTT bags Hyundai Samho LNG tanks order

French LNG containment tank specialist, GTT said Tuesday it won a new order from the Korean shipyard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries for the tank design of two liquefied natural gas carriers.

The two 174,000-cbm LNG tankers will be built on behalf of a European shipowner.

The delivery of the ships is planned during the first semester of 2021, according to a GTT statement.

GTT will realize the design of the LNG tanks of both units with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system,

Philippe Berterottière , Chairman and CEO of GTT said in the statement that these new orders from Hyundai Samho take the number of current orders from the shipyard up to eight.
