Equinor has obtained a consent from Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) Norway for the use of a new subsea production facility and wells on the Visund field.
The Visund field, located in the northern North Sea, has been developed by means of a semi-submersible integrated quarters, drilling and processing facility (Visund A) and well templates for seabed production.
Equinor and the other Visund licensees are now extending the field with an extra subsea template with four well slots. The project has been named ‘Visund Nord IOR’.
“ We have now given consent for use of the subsea production facility and wells at Visund Nord IOR, ” PSA said.
