Liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from the United States rose during the week that ended July 18, the Energy Information Administration said in its weekly natural gas report.

Six LNG carriers with a combined capacity of 21.7 billion cubic feet per (Bcf), departed the United States from July 12 through July 18.

All of the carriers were dispatched from Cheniere’s Sabine Pass liquefaction terminal.

The natural gas feedstock to LNG terminals, including Cove Point LNG, averaged 3.3 Bcf/d during the report week as compared to 3.3 Bcf/d last week, the report said.

Worth mentioning here, Kinder Morgan said this week that the start-up of its Elba Island LNG export project near Savannah, Georgia had been pushed back.

Elba Island is one of six LNG export projects either currently operating or under construction in the US.
