Liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from the United States remained flat during the week ending August 1, the Energy Information Administration said in its weekly natural gas report.

Six LNG cargoes with a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 21.6 Bcf departed the United States from July 26 through August 1, the data shows. This compares to 21.4 Bcf dispatched in the previous week.

Five cargoes were shipped from the Sabine Pass liquefaction terminal and one from Cove Point.

One LNG tanker with a carrying capacity of 3.4 Bcf was loading at Sabine Pass on Wednesday.

In July, a total of 30 LNG cargoes were exported from the United States, 23 cargoes from Sabine Pass, and 7 cargoes from Cove Point, for an estimated total export volume of 103.6 Bcf. This level is the highest monthly LNG export volume on record since U.S. LNG exports began in February 2016, EIA said.

The natural gas feedstock to LNG terminals, including Cove Point LNG, averaged 3.2 Bcf/d during the report week as compared to 3.3 Bcf/d last week, the report said.
