Mercator Nabs Goa Naval Area Dredging Contract

Mercator Ltd, one of India’s diversified conglomerates with interests in coal, oil and gas, shipping and dredging, has won a contract for the Goa Naval Area maintenance dredging works.

The contract, worth $3.85 million, will be conducted in the 2018-20 period.

According to a Mercator’s official statement, about 50% of the project will be executed in FY 2019 and the remaining portion in FY 2020.

The company is one of India’s largest dredging companies in the private sector and has a presence in varied segments namely shipping, offshore business, oil exploration and production, dredging, coal mining/trading and logistics.
