Gothia Tankers Alliance second LNG-fueled vessel delivered

Marine engineering company FKAB, said that the second LNG-fueled vessel out of six ordered by the Gothia Tanker Alliance has been delivered.

Marine engineering company FKAB said that the second LNG-fueled vessel out of six ordered by the Gothia Tanker Alliance has been delivered.

The 16,000 DWT tanker equipped with dual-fuel engines for LNG operation, featuring ice class 1A is named Ramanda and is owned by Rederi AB Älvtank.

FKAB added the vessel concept was developed together with Furetank and the basic design and detail design has been delivered to the Avic Dingheng shipyard.

Two more vessels of the remaining four will be delivered during 2018 by the shipyard.

Partners in the Swedish Gothia Tanker Alliance, Furetank, Älvtank and Erik Thun. Out of the six vessels on order Furetank has three, Älvtank two and Thun Tankers one.

Furetank Chartering in the Gothia Tanker Alliance will be the commercial manager of the newbuilds.
