Peruvian liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in Pampa Melchorita shipped a total of six cargoes during the month of July before the facility was shut down for maintenance.

The facility stopped exports on July 27 as it was set to undergo routine maintenance over a three-week period.

The last cargo of the month was dispatched on July 26, onboard the 145,000-cbm Methane Shirley Elisabeth and headed for Spain, data from the state-owned Perupetro shows.

Out of the six cargoes, two were shipped to Spain, two landed in South Korea with one cargo each heading for Japan and Mexico.

In terms of volumes, the plant dispatched 867,227 cubic meters of the chilled fuel, with 287,021 cubic meters landing in South Korea, followed by 275,059 cubic meters dispatched to Spain.

With the six cargoes dispatched during past month, the facility’s total rose to 472 since it started operations in June 2010.

The 4.45 million tons per year gas liquefaction plant is located 170 kilometers south of Lima and receives gas via a 408-kilometer pipeline built across the Andes.
