Irish start-up Exceedence has raised a little over £165,000 in its ongoing equity crowdfunding campaign that has also reached 100 investor milestone.
The campaign, run on Crowdcube’s equity crowdfunding platform , will be instrumental in helping the company accelerate the roll-out of its cloud-based renewable financial modelling software in new markets – especially in marine renewable energy.
So far, Exceedence secured 65% of the targeted £250,000 – registering the average investment of £1,642 made during the campaign .
The new tool dubbed Exceedence Cloud, which prompted the launch of the campaign, will bring the software to the market through a tiered subscription model making it accessible to even small technology developers particularly in the marine renewable space, the Irish start-up noted.
The software is said to be the first of its type built around standards and suitable for wave and tidal energy sectors, as well as wind – including onshore, offshore and floating variants.
