Motive Offshore has expanded its fabrication division at its main site at Boyndie in North-east Aberdeenshire with a £250k investment, and secured a key appointment to manage the division.
Colin Forsyth has been appointed as general manager to oversee the fabrication division expansion.
Forsyth brings 35 years of engineering and fabrication experience in the oil & gas and marine industries.
The team at Boyndie is already highly experienced in marine fabrication and the expansion is set to bring an increase in staff at the headquarters near Banff to accommodate incoming fabrication work, the company explained.
Colin Forsyth said: “ Motive has a very skilled workforce which adapts easily to challenges. Concentrating fabrication services at the Boyndie base will open up new opportunities for Motive, and my experience in dealing with fast reaction vessel work scopes and close working relationships with clients will be beneficial as we grow the fabrication side of the business.”
