French LNG containment specialist GTT has received a new tank order from South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries.
GTT said in a statement on Wednesday it would design the tanks for a new 174,000-cbm LNG carrier, on behalf of an unnamed European ship-owner.
The delivery of the LNG carrier is planned for the fourth quarter of 2020.
GTT’s membrane containment system Mark III Flex has been selected for the design of the tanks.
