Norway-based Torgy LNG has signed a deal with China’s Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) tank mock-up as a pilot project.

The mock-up will help Torgy LNG to provide “package services to the potential user including the supply of IMO A type LNG tank, FGSS,” according to a statement by the duo.

On the other hand, it will also enable Cosco Shipping Heavy, a unit of China Cosco Shipping Corporation, to be capable of building this type of LNG tank and provide the customized products to its clients in building small-scale LNG carriers and LNG-fueled vessels, the statement said.
