Nominees for Offshore Energy Awards 2018 Revealed

The jury has reviewed all submitted nominations for the Offshore Energy Awards and has chosen for each category three nominees that obtained the highest number of points.

The jury has reviewed all submitted nominations for the Offshore Energy Awards and has chosen for each category three nominees that obtained the highest number of points.

The three submissions selected as nominees for the Offshore Energy Public Outreach Award include EnTranCe – Hanze University Groningen, Nexstep – represented by NOGEPA and Buccaneer Delft.

Other submissions came from TNO, The Social and Economic Council of the Netherlands (SER), 10XL, NAM B.V. and The East of England Energy Group (EEEGR).

In the category of Young Engineer Award , the nominees are Marius Ottolini from Heerema Marine Contractors, Kevin van der Leur from Van Oord and Rik van der Kant from Bosch Rexroth B.V.

The remaining submissions came from Skoon Energy, Siri Marine, Royal IHC, Economic Development Board, Mocean Offshore and Bayards Aluminium Constructions.

The nominees for the Best Innovation in Offshore Energy Award are OASYS – ECE Offshore, U.S. Offshore wind feeder solution – Barge Master & GustoMSC and Combi Lifting Spread – IHC IQIP.

Siri Marine, Safeway, Eagle-Access, SMST Designers & Constructors, Ampelmann, Onboard | FE Solutions, Huisman Equipment, Zentech Incorporated, ABS, Van Beest, MODU Data Exchange, Paradigm Technology Services, FLASC, Saipem Limited, Dockstr AB and DEME Group were also nominated.

The jury will discuss the final submissions and select the winners in the following weeks.

The winners will be announced during the Offshore Energy Opening Gala Dinner and Awards Show on Monday 22 October in the National Maritime Museum (Scheepvaartmuseum) in Amsterdam.

In addition to the awards ceremony, the black-tie gala evening will serve a culinary dinner with musical interludes from Jennifer Ewbank and speeches by dignitaries. The evening will be hosted by Victoria Koblenko.
