Maersk Supply Service has completed Ailsa Floating Storage and Offloading unit (FSO) transportation and installation for the Culzean field in the North Sea.

Last week, the hook up of the Ailsa FSO was successfully completed, the company informed.

The project has been delivered to Total E&P UK as an integrated solution, including project management, engineering, procurement and execution of offshore work scopes. Eight Maersk Supply Service vessels and crew carried out the marine operations.

“This is a significant milestone for Maersk Supply Service in delivering full-scope solutions to our customers. Leveraging the expertise, commitment and flexibility of all stakeholders involved as one on- and offshore team was key to the safe, efficient and timely completion of this challenging project,” said head of Integrated Solutions Olivier Trouvé .

The Culzean field is located about 242 kilometers (145 miles) east of Aberdeen in the UK sector of the Central North Sea. First gas is expected to be produced from Culzean in 2019.
