Qatar Petroleum’s president and CEO Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi led a delegation on a working visit to Japan discussing energy cooperation with Japanese companies.
The two days of talks focus on a number of issues related to developing bilateral relations and cooperation with various Japanese customers and partner companies, particularly in the LNG trade, Qatar Petroleum said in a statement,
The line-up of partner companies included the likes of Mitsubishi Corporation, JERA, Mitsui, Marubeni, Chiyoda, Chubu Electric and a number of other major Japanese energy companies and shippers.
In addition to the meetings with the leading companies, Al-Kaabi held talks with Japan’s minister of foreign affairs Taro Kono.
Discussions focused on the cooperation between Japan and Qatar, especially in the oil and gas industry.
