China’s Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Co (BoComm) has ordered four bulkers from compatriot CSSC Chengxi, Fearnleys said in its weekly report.
The shipbroker added that the four ships of 80,000 dwt each, are scheduled for delivery in 2020. Further details on the deal were not disclosed.
Chengxi Shipyard is already building nine dry bulkers for the Chinese leasing company, according to the data from VesselsValue.
The most recent ones were booked in August this year, and saw BoComm order three Panamaxes of 80,000 dwt. The trio, comprising JY Hongkong, JY Hamburg and JY London, is scheduled for delivery in 2019 and 2020.
The remaining six Panamaxes, ranging in size from 81,000 dwt to 82,000 dwt, were ordered from Chengxi in 2017.
