China LNG Group inks cooperation deal with DNV GL

Hong Kong-based China LNG Group said Thursday it signed a deal with classification society DNV GL to cooperate on the entire liquefied natural gas (LNG) chain.

Under the non-binding deal, the duo agreed to cooperate in the areas of risk management, technical assurance, technical advisory, operational excellence and digital platform covering the LNG value chain, according to a statement by China LNG Group.

This includes production and manufacturing, onshore and marine logistics, ports and terminals and LNG distribution including filling, bunkering and end-user gas grid.

China LNG Group said in the statement that this deal would help the company’s quality assurance and risk management and boost safety of its LNG businesses in China.
