France’s GTT scores DSME LNG tank order

French LNG containment specialist GTT has secured a new order from the Korean shipyard Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering for the tank design of a 173,400-cbm liquefied natural gas carrier. French LNG containment specialist GTT has secured a new order from the Korean shipyard Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering for the tank design of a 173,400-cbm liquefied natural gas carrier.

GTT said in a statement on Monday that the LNG carrier would be built by DSME on behalf of a European shipowner.

The tanks will be fitted with the NO96 GW technology and the vessel’s delivery is expected by the first half of 2021. according to GTT.

GTT did not provide any additional information.
