Norwegian shipping company Odfjell SE expanded its fleet with a new chemical tanker which joined the company on October 17.
The new 35,155 dwt stainless steel tanker, named Bow Precision has 28 tanks and adds “eco-friendly tonnage to our fleet,” the company said.
The newly-built ship was formally named during a ceremony at the Shin Kurushima Dockyard in Japan.
Bow Precision will be on a long term charter to Odfjell Chemical Tankers together with a sister vessel due for delivery in January 2019.
Following the ceremony, the new tanker departed on its maiden voyage from China to Chile.
