The Fluxys-operated Zeebrugge liquefied natural gas terminal in Belgium is set to receive a couple of cargoes from Qatar over the next two weeks.

First of the two cargoes is being transported onboard Teekay’s 165,500-cbm LNG carrier Marib Spirit that departed Qatar on October 21.

The vessel is scheduled to arrive at Zeebrugge on November 7, the shipping data shows.

The second of the two cargoes is being transported onboard the 155,000-cbm GasLog Salem. The vessel is scheduled to unload its cargo on November 18.

The Zeebrugge LNG terminal, that mainly imports LNG from Qatar, has an annual throughput capacity of nine billion cubic meters of natural gas.

The facility has seen a significant increase in unloaded and reloaded quantities of LNG year-on-year. Year to date, volumes of reloaded LNG rose to 0.784 million tonnes, eight times over the quantities reloaded over the same period in 2017.

Unloaded quantities have reached 2.34 million tons, compared to 0.934 million tons unloaded over the same period in 2017,
