MacArtney Underwater Technology has appointed Michael Behrens as the company’s new chief commercial officer (CCO).

Once an elite amateur golfer who played for Denmark’s national team, Behrens joins MacArtney from the largest steel and technical sales company in Denmark.

With a HD(O) in Organisational Leadership from the University of Southern Denmark, Behrens’ career began in international sales.

Over the years Behrens had taken roles at companies from Saab to ABB. Within ABB, Behrens headed up the Centre of Excellence specialising in power projects and instrumentation.

“Thanks to skilled and committed employees MacArtney has grown over the past 40 years to become a significant player within Underwater Technology. My focus will be to expand business with our existing customers as well as establishing MacArtney in new markets with a clear customer focus. I am proud to be part of the team and I am looking forward to the journey ahead,” Behrens said.

Currently, he is almost finished with an MBA in Business Administration and has been officially appointed as CCO at MacArtney from the 1st of November.
