27 out of the 32 monopile foundations have been installed on the 200MW Trianel Windpark Borkum II (TWB II) offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.

Also, work on the inter-array cable systems in the northeastern part of the wind farm has been completed, Trianel Windpark Borkum II said.

Seaway Heavy Lifting’s jack-up Stanislav Yudin installed the first monopile at the site some 40km north of the island of Borkum at the end of June.

The monopile foundations will support 32 Senvion 6.33MW wind turbines which will be installed by Jan De Nul and are scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2019.

The 200MW Trianel Windpark Borkum II project is owned by EWE AG (37.5%), ewz Offshore Borkum GmbH (24.51%) and 17 German municipal utilities together with Trianel GmbH (37.99%).
