French liquefied natural gas containment system specialist, GTT, has been contracted to design the tank for a 174,000-cbm LNG carrier newbuild.
The vessel is being constructed by the South Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) for the Greek ship-owned Thenamaris, GTT said in a statement.
GTT will design the vessel tanks that will be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system.
The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.
According to the Thenamaris website, the vessel is the second of two newbuilds under construction for the company by HHI that will feature GTT containment technology as well as WinGD dual-fuel engines.
