The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) has given OKEA consent to use the facilities on the Draugen field in the Norwegian Sea.

In June 2018, OKEA acquired Norske Shell’s interest in Draugen and became the field’s new operator.

The transaction was recently approved by the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy and Ministry of Finance concerning licenses associated with the Draugen field in the Norwegian Sea and the Gjøa field in the North Sea. The Ministry of Petroleum has also approved OKEA as new operator for the Draugen field.

Following the acquisition , the Norwegian oil company applied to us for consent to use the facilities at Draugen.

The consent for use covers the production facilities with associated wells, subsea installations with associated wells, infield pipelines, the oil loading system and gas export pipeline.

Draugen is an oil field in the Norwegian Sea, around 150 kilometres north of Kristiansund. Production on the field began in October 1993. The field has been developed using a fixed concrete facility with an integrated deck. Deposits in the vicinity are produced by subsea wells tied back to the Draugen facility.
