French LNG containment specialist GTT has received a new order from Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) to design storage tanks for two LNG carrier newbuilds.

The South Korean shipyard is building the two 173,000-cbm liquefied natural gas carriers for the Greek shipowner TMS Cardiff Gas, GTT said in a statement.

The tanks will be fitted with the Mark III Flex containment system, GTT added.

The vessels’ delivery is expected for the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 respectively.

Speaking of the order Philippe Berterottière , Chairman and CEO of GTT noted that the company continues its partnership with HHI shipyard and TMS Cardiff Gas which already owns four LNG carriers equipped with GTT technologies and has nine LNG carriers on order.
