Bangladesh is set to resume liquefied natural gas imports after resolving issues with its floating storage and regasification unit that caused cancellation of a couple of deliveries.

LNG cargoes that were canceled have been scheduled for delivery on November 7 and 15.

Rupantarita Prakritik Gas managing director, Mohammad Quamruzzaman , said the problem with the hydraulic line that caused the halt has been resolved, Reuters reports.

Rupantarita Prakritik Gas is a Petrobangla unit handling the liquefied natural gas imports.

Quamruzzaman added that a 140,000-cbm cargo is scheduled for unloading on November 21.

State-owned Petrobangla signed a long-term SPA to supply up to 2.5 million tons of LNG per annum with Qatargas in September 2017.

The imports are delivered to the FSRU Excelerate Excellence, owned by the Texas-based floating LNG solutions provider Excelerate Energy has a 500 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMscf/d) regasification capacity.
