RTS has taken delivery of three new iXblue Octans 3000 survey-grade fiber-optic gyrocompasses.

The units are specifically intended for integration with the RTS CUBE SDM systems which is the principal solution used for deflection and attitude monitoring during integrated template structure (ITS) installation.

Helge Knutsen , managing director, RTS, said: “We are dedicated to offering the finest available technology to our customers and the iXblue products seamlessly complement our own RTS CUBE SDM systems. Throughout our extensive experience with a track record of over 100 subsea structure installations, the iXblue products have provided unmatched performance and reliability during these critical operations. These new units will be used to further expand our capabilities in the subsea structure installation market.”

Jan Aadland , regional sales manager for Scandinavia, iXblue, added: “We are proud once again to deliver products from our FOG based inertial product-range to RTS. RTS own a number of Octans 3000 and ROVINS as well as PHINS units. This week RTS takes delivery of 3 Octans 3000, and we appreciate the trust RTS shows in us by increasing their stock of iXblue products.”
