Tekmar Energy has been selected by Van Oord to deliver its cable protection system (CPS) TekLink Mechanical Latch for the Borssele 2 (site III and IV) offshore wind farm.
As part of the project, Tekmar said it will be supplying their latest TekLink Generation 8 cable protection system.
The product will be produced at the company’s manufacturing facility in the North East of England, which also recently became the first facility in the UK to achieve ISO 45001:2018 accreditation.
Borssele 2 mark Tekmar’s 65th project within the industry, taking the total number of systems over 6,200 and 21GW of protected electrical infrastructure worldwide.
Borssele 2 consisting of 77 turbines and a total of 731.5 MW, will go into construction off the coast of Zeeland, the Netherlands in 2020.
