South Korea’s shipbuilder Hyundai Mipo Dockyard has reached an agreement to build a small-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier for Norway-based Knutsen OAS Shipping.
In a stock exchange filing, the shipbuilder said that the contract includes an option for another unit.
The deal, which was signed by the parties on December 5, has a value of KRW 85.9 billion (USD 76.6 million).
Hyundai Mipo Dockyard is scheduled to deliver the new vessel, which will feature 30,000 cbm, to its owner in the first quarter of 2021.
