Liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from the United States edged up during the week ending December 5.
Data from the United States Energy Information Administration shows that eight tankers with a total carrying capacity of 27.9 Bcf departed the United States facilities during the week.
Out of the nine vessels, six were shipped from Cheniere’s Sabine Pass facility in Louisiana and the remaining two from Dominion’s Cove Point LNG export facility in Maryland.
Data provided by VesselsValue shows that the 174.000-cbm LNG carrier Maria Energy is docked at Cheniere’s Corpus Christi LNG export facility in Texas, waiting to load the first cargo from the plant.
EIA noted that during the month of November U.S. LNG exports set a record with 31 cargoes loaded, exceeding the previous record set in July with 29 cargoes loaded.
Data shows that Sabine Pass export facility loaded 26 cargoes during the month of November and the remaining five were dispatched from Dominion Cove Point.
